Foundation of Herbamed AG before the Commercial Register Office in St.Gallen by Christoph Züllig, Hedy Züllig-Lutz (mother) and Hedy Lutz-Lendenmann (grandmother).

Manufacturing authorisation

The Canton of Appenzell AR grants Herbamed AG a licence to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished medicinal products for the facility in Speicher AR. At the beginning, a factory area of 120 square metres is available. In the same month, the production of homeopathic mother tinctures is started.

Sales to pharmacies and drugstores

The company starts selling mother tinctures to pharmacies, drugstores, naturopaths and industrial customers. The target range comprises around 200 mother tinctures.

First drug approval

Soporin, phytotherapeutic sleeping drops are the first medicinal product to be granted a national marketing authorisation by the IKS (predecessor of Swissmedic).

New building in the Bühler

Move into the newly constructed company building in Bühler. There are 1400 square metres of operating space available with expansion as a pharmaceutical building. This important step into a new future was also a quantum leap for the young company financially.

First GMP inspection

Herbamed successfully passes the first GMP inspection and accordingly receives the GMP certificate

2006

Extension

The space was already too cramped again. A basement with about 400 square metres was added to the existing building and at the same time a tunnel was built under the square to the Heierli building, which was also new. There, the company was able to rent 1000 square metres of storage space.

FDA inspection

First FDA inspection (USA) passed with success.
